Our final part of the year begins, with that a 10 week project was given to us. Game City joins with The British Library every year and holds a competition that involves students around the UK to create a small level or game. This year Game city set the theme of Shakespeare.

We split into groups and allocated ourself with roles to begin our projects. My group was as followed;

Mugisha Monga- Group leader And Engine artist, Asset Creator and Technical Artist.

Ellie Apperley- Group Leader, Asset Creator And Concept Artist.

Dan Bradshaw- Character Artist.

Harry Taylor- Asset Creator.

Lawrence Ojiji- Asset Creator.

We had to choose between three of Shakespeare's most famous plays to base our level/game around;

Macbeth

Midsummer’s Night Dream

The Tempest

Our team got things started quickly and chose to go with a nice level to create an enticing trailer with based around Macbeth.

MoodBoards.

We began as a group collecting various reference and collected them in a form of a mood board.

We based different mood boards on different themes.

With the moodboards done we able to create a quick sketch during our group discussion of the overall flow of the map, I was then able to create a PSD of the flow of the map including a blueprint of our benchmark area of the level.

After the idea of the level was discussed in length and everyone in the group had a solid idea of where the level is going I was able to begin doing the white box for the level.
