Week 25

With the benchmark level at an approach level, I was then able to go back and fix some of the things the lectures pointed out during the practise presentation, this included updating the wall candle plack texture, floor texture and dynamic lighting.

The plack asset was assigned to one of our asset designers 'Lawrence' the updated asset and texture is available on the team blog.

I was also able to update the floor texture using Bitmap2Material a technique I should of used in the first place due time management. below you are able to see the updated floor texture.

I struggled highly to create dynamic lighting for the hallway, however after a few tutorials I was able to us a volume box to change up the overall lighting, colour tint and lens flares. Messing around with the settings I was able to create some dynamic lighting that was appropriate for the scene.

During this week I also began creating some assets for around the scene using a module system where I would the same assets for various roles. I began creating the guard tower and the main castle. i began by creating the guard tower with the intention of using the guard tower as the main entrance at the castle.
